Online Course Design, Development, Implementation

In collaboration with the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) and Federal agencies, the Early Responders Distance Learning Center (ERDLC) at Saint Joseph's University has created online courses for the Emergency Response Community. These courses are intended to prepare fire, police, and emergency responders for WMD and terrorist incidents. Most of these courses are developed with a specialized focus on psychological consequences. In the past five years, ERDLC has developed online courses that focus on port security, food security, and combating agro-terrorism. These courses include: Law Enforcement Maritime Security, Maritime Security Awareness, Principles of the Incident Command System (ICS), Animal Health Emergency Management, Introduction to Agro-terrorism, Agriculture, and its Industries, Animal Pathogens, Animal Disease Response Mechanisms and Biosecurity, and Recovering form Animal Health Emergencies.
