The Early Responders Distance Learning Center (ERDLC) at Saint Joseph's University develops Training Support Packages (TSPs) that include instruction and supporting video products suitable for use by instructors and facilitators in both the classroom and hands on training environments. The TSPs are typically designed to support the learning process by integrating classroom presentations with video reinforcement, subject matter expert video demonstrations, and student evaluations based on a videotape scenario. Part or all of the materials are made available in a variety of formats (e.g., print, VHS Video, CD-ROM, DVD, etc).
ERDLC has developed training support documents that include procedures for operating all elements of training and education product and procedures for navigating and interacting with the tools. Training support documentation includes all information related to the operation, use, and maintenance of the training. In addition, training support documentation includes user manuals, embedded help sections, and other information or products developed in this effort that are needed to operate, use, and maintain the training and education product. Examples of TSPs that the ERDLC has developed include Shelter-In-Place, Restoring Hope, and Combating Terrorism Port Security Tabletop Exercise (TTX).
